Journey to the Waterfalls in All the Provinces features various waterfalls in various parts of Japan. The eight pieces of this series skillfully draw each waterfall. The richness of water expression is in no way inferior to a representation of Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji: Great Wave off the Coast of Kanagawa, which published prior to this series.

Hokusai

Ukiyoe painter. He learned the painting technique from Kano School and Tosa School, and also had an interest in the western -style copperplate prints such as Shiba Kokanfs, which means his learning objects were free of rules.
