Here is one of Yokohamae depicted at the end of Edo period, introducing various culture in the world, particularly occidental, that Japanese people did never know during the closure of the country. According to the title, this artwork looks like a drawing copy of a copperplate print depicted Washington, America. Probably in order to copy the basictone particular to copperplate print, he used blue to make shade, with unique figure of foreigners.

Issen Yoshikazu(birth and death date unknown) was a pupil of Utagawa Kuniyoshi. His active time was from 1848 to 1854. He is also referred to as Utagawa Yoshikazu.
