This artwork is the one inspired by the historical event, "Kuroda Family's trouble". This trouble was caused when Kuroda Tadayuki took over the position of lord as Kuroda II, involving himself, his chief retainer named Kuriyama Daizen and so on. Despite during the period of downsizing army power, Tadayuki encouraged building ship and recruiting followers against the movement. Afraid of taken away the land by Shogunate, in 1632, Kuriyama Daizen allowed himself to inform Shogunate that his lord was aiming a rebellion. However, Shogunate realized this was Kuriyama Taizen's tact in order to retain the Kuroda's territory. In this way, in 1633, the trouble for 10 years ended at last.
