Tsukioka Yoshitoshi (1839 - 1892) depicted a lot of mysterious, inteligent and sexy beauties. This artwork belongs to a set of 32 aspects which subjects are female figures given different discriptions. This shows Honen's unique sense. Also this is known as one of his representative beauties, succeeding Utagawa Toyokuni III's 32 aspects.
The subtitle of this artwork is "Looks dangerous, the culture of Geiko dancer, in the Meiji era". Her slightly loose hair says she has just finished her work at a banquet on-board, and now she is getting off the boat. But, because of drunk or shakes of boat, her steps are not steady.
