The subject in this artwork is Tora Gozen known as the heroine in the Story Soga. Soga Brothers, Juro and Goro, were expecting to avenge his father's death since their childhood, therefore, Juro, the elder brother, had never thought of marrying. However, suggested by Goro, Juro finally decided to marry but choose a prostitute for his wife because he never knew what would be in the future. But as soon as Juro met Tora, they instantly fell in love. One day, Juro and Goro finally got the chance to kill their target, but they also were killed. Tora, left behind, visited the brothers' mother and became a nun.
