Tsukioka Yoshitoshi depicted a lot of mysterious, inteligent and sexy beauties. This artwork belongs to a set of 32 aspects which subjects are female figures given different discriptions. This shows Honen's unique sense. Also this is known as one of his representative beauties, succeeding Utagawa Toyokuni III's 32 aspects.
The subtitle of this artwork is "Looks hot, the culture of wives in the Bunsei era". The things on the back of the woman are moxa used for the acupuncture and moxibustion. She looks hot, bending her back. Her exposed pale back skin is beauiful.
