"Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) was an ukiyoe painter, highly reputed even in overseas for his excellent composition using perspective drawing method as well as perspective contrast.
A dock located on riverside of the Chikuma River. Here depicted is the scene in which three boatmen are joining the others smoking at the fireplace in a teahouse. The boatman stiffened in humble cloth at the center looks so cold but makes feel humanity.
