This is a wood-block-printed-multi-colored map, printed in 1842, at the end of Edo era. A wide spread sheet with 142cm width is compactly folded in many layers. Although this map of Japan is not based on the scientific evidence, the main cities and roads are connected by lines and dots, and the geography of Japan at the time is detailed. This is small and portable for travelers.
