This is a painting depicted Yokohama where used to be the residencial area for foreigners. Although the composition is like that of famous landscape, the most of poople in the painting are foreigners in particular costumes. Eirin is a mysterious painter whose details are almost unknown apart from his 11 paintings about Yokohama printed in 1872 have been found so far. This is one of such valuable paintings.
