Ukiyoe painter. Also referred to as Kokushunro as Gago, Inransai as Ingo. Born to a samurai family, he entered government service, but he got involved in a trouble and dismissed. He had a chance to get to know Kikukawa Eiji whose child, Eizan , taught him painting. He initially handled actor painting, but later showed his talent in beauty, and left a number of beauty portraits with unique sensual charms. He was also excelled at landscape.
